DO YOU KNOW HOW TO WAIT?
This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Waiting is hard. But, waiting teaches you obedience, patience, and humility. We may be hoping for things to go as we have envisioned in our minds, or hoping that the Lord will drop a blessing in our lives. In this season, how and why are you waiting? I know that we would all like things to be done at the snap of our fingers, but remember it is God’s timing. God does not need anyone or anything to showcase His power or blessings. He is God alone, no one beside Him, and no one above Him: “I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:” Isaiah 45:5.
- What does waiting on the Lord look like?
- To wait on the Lord is to trust in Him, even if you don’t receive.
- To wait on the Lord is to be patient, and not to rush ahead of Him, nor His ways.
- To wait on the Lord is to follow Him on the journey, step by step. To wait on the Lord is to focus on Him, and not where He may be taking you, nor what you are waiting on Him for.
- To wait on the Lord is to have faith through every season of your waiting, seeking the Lord daily.
- To wait on the Lord is to rest in Him
- To wait on he Lord is pray with expectancy of receiving
- To wait on the Lord is to not seeking another way, outside of God”s plan for you
