I won’t lie, there are times when I am discouraged and that is when I allow the lies of the enemy into my mind. The enemy taunts you the most when you are closer to the promise. God’s Word and His truth do not come back void. He always finds a way to break us through the wilderness, the barriers that we created, and the confusion that the enemy has placed in our lives. Nevertheless, if we stay with him, he will guide us onto the paths of righteousness for his namesake: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11. Stay with Him, make it up in your mind each day, that God is true, and He is faithful in all that He has for us. It does not matter what this season looks like. It does not matter how far we may seem away, God will see us throug: “Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause” Psalm 25:3. I remember I prayed a prayer for hope a couple of months ago: ” Lord help me, I need a hope to hold on to, that I may see your goodness” Today a month later, I was in my prayer closet, and I could only thank God for his goodness because I saw the hope that I could hold onto. God listens, He always listens to each and every prayer we have. It may not come to pass when we want, but surely God never leaves or forsakes us. Also, God knows what we need, even before we ask: ” For your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him” Matthew 6:8
