SURRENDER ALL

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me” Luke 9:23

Every day we have to make a decision for ourselves to serve the Lord with all our hearts. It is not enough for us to say that we love the Lord, but to show with all of our heart that we love Him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you, think of how He has created you to be set apart, and there is no one earth that is the same as you, for you are ” wonderfully and fearfully made” Think of the millions of people in the world, and God chose you to be His child, and Him, your Father. I have gotten to the point in my walk, where I do not want to mess up my life anymore, and I don’t want to offend God, or walk in disobedience. This life I am living is not for me, but for God, and being a light for others to see, how good my God is. If I am not able to be a light on the hill for the world to see, how then would I, being a vessel of the Lord, bring forth more vessels for God to pour more of his oil into. In order for God to work in us, there first has to be surrendering. Surrendering means giving up everything. Let’s face it, that is easier said than done, but what we give up for God, God will restore us double than what we even had to surrender. Abraham was finally given a son after years of waiting. He did not believe that He was going to have a son in his old age, nor Sarah, BUT GOD! After receiving the blessing, God wanted it back, in order to see where Abraham’s heart truly was with the Lord, ” And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. Genesis 22:2

The thing you love the most in your life, Would you give it up for God? Obedience is to make up in your mind to serve God, obey his Word, and fear His name above all else. It does not matter how you feel about it, nor the excuses you make to keep it, Nothing should come above or before God. Once we surrender, God is able to work on the masterpiece that He is trying to create again. Think of all the filth and gunk that you have picked up from the world. How many sins you may have fallen in, and can’t let go of. The complexes that you may have on your life because of your trauma and pain. God has to make you over because God did not create you to be a mess, He wants you to be exactly what He created you to be: “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it, then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.” Jeremiah 18:4-6
