GRACE ABUSERS

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Romans 6:1-2

Coming to Christ you realize the power in His name, the covering through His blood, and the saving by His grace. Yes, we are under grace but that is not an opportunity for us to continue in sin. The Lord allows us to go through a grace period, understanding the war waged against us when first walking in The Truth. There comes a point in time when we come to the understanding of what sin is and how it is displeasing to the Lord. When we walk in the grace of God, we aim for the mark which is in Jesus Christ. Aiming for the mark is difficult, but realizing the grace you are under shines a light on the evil. It is difficult when you understand the Truth but your pride keeps you in struggle to obey it. Pride places a covering of contentment within us that blinds us from seeing wrong and remaining in it. This covering can lead to justification, which allows speaking like ” Just one more hit, it is okay, the Lord understands the mess I am in, and He created the plants on the earth to be good”. You see everything that the Lord made is good. It is the person and the perception that one has in using, doing, and speaking with anything that can make it either ” good” or ” bad”. Our eyes opened when Adam and Eve yielded to the enemy and its deceptiveness. Their yielding opened the doors of sin into the world and a great falling away for mankind. It sounds like an extreme, but we are living in this world of sinfulness, lewdness, lasciviousness, covetousness, etc, and many are blind to the fact there is evil lying within the very acts they commit on a daily. You might be asking, Well then how do we stop if we are constantly among it? The battle of sin never stops, because we are living in a sinful world, but through the grace of God, the load becomes lighter when we understand who God is. Reminded that You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
