IT HAPPENED AGAIN

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:1

I know. You didn’t mean to. Somehow the enemy slipped in so swiftly and you yielded. Yes, I have been there, and one of the tactics of the enemy is to keep you in a place of defeat, discouragement, and condemnation. I messed up again and I beat myself up so bad the entire car ride home, I showed no grace to myself. I immediately wanted to put everything on hold, throw in the towel, and isolate myself. The easiest thing to do when you make a mistake is to shut down, and the hardest thing is to trust God. I know it is easier said than done, but when you call on Jesus, He hears and reassurance. It becomes hard when the enemy wants you to yield to the pain, mistake, shame, and anxiousness. the enemy loves to see you in a sunken place. he feeds off your downfall and is plotting on your demise. the enemy cannot win though because you have the power and authority to trample over the enemy (Luke 10:19). When I did not know the Lord, I was a chronic worrier I would replay a situation over and over until I thought I could figure out the end. When I came to the Lord, I found I would try to analyze the problem, but I would not sit with it for long, thanks to the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the friend that brings encouragement at just the right time. When you’re in a dark place, remember the Lord shall be a light onto you (Micah 7:8) You will only find peace in the Lord. You will not have peace in trying to work out this situation for yourself. Whatever mistake you make, give yourself the same amount of grace that the Lord extends to you; abundantly and overflowing always. When you place your focus on the Lord, the waves become smaller, and the storm calms. You’re not perfect, but Jesus is, we have all fallen short, but it is covered (Romans 3:23)
