Whatever the Lord is requiring of you in this season, do it. When the Lord gives you specific instructions, don’t add to it, nor take away from it. There is a reason that the Lord is telling you to do that exact thing. You don’t know what is on the other side of your obedience, it could be healing, protection, or guidance. The Lord told Joshua and the Israelites to go up around the city of Jericho in circles, of course, that sounds crazy, but God said it for a reason. Due to the act of their obedience, the wall in their way came crumbling down and they went up to possess the land. Keep your focus on what the Lord said, and that is all. Of course, it is in our human nature to know the details of how, why, and what. All those questions that may arise are due to are flight or fight response in our brains. We want to guard ourselves in defense of any upcoming danger. But, with God, our fear comes in reverence for Him, His Power, His Love, and His promises. The fear the enemy tries to use against us walks us into the arena of lacking trust in the Lord. To combat this fear you must feed your faith with the truth of God, which is the Word of God. When fear arises, speak to the fear with the Word of God and tell that fear to go because it has no place for where God is taking me. Amen!
